Premier League DFS Early Look Week 7 (2026-27): DraftKings, FanDuel, Yahoo & Fanteam Picks

Our Premier League DFS early look week 7 lands on Wednesday 14 October 2026, with a full nine-match round on Fanteam opening at 14:00 UTC on Saturday 17 October, roughly 67 hours from now. We cover Fanteam and the DraftKings Saturday slate below. FanDuel and Yahoo slates and projections follow when those sites release them.

The round has a clear centre of gravity. Manchester City host Ipswich with a 77.78% win probability and 2.67 projected goals, comfortably the best attacking setup on the board. Spurs against Coventry (63.82%), Brighton against Crystal Palace (60.9%) and Arsenal against Nottingham Forest (59.62%) form the next tier. Arsenal carry a 40.53% clean-sheet chance, second only to City.

Fanteam captain options for the Premier League DFS early look week 7

Erling Haaland is the obvious armband. He projects for 6.1 points, carries a 51% chance to score and is on penalties. At 15.8 he is the most expensive player in the pool, but the captain doubles his score and nobody else comes close on projection. With City wedged between European fixtures, rotation is the only real worry, and we see it as more likely to hit his teammates than him.

Antoine Semenyo is our second-highest projection at 5.45, and this is where our view diverges from the general mood. His shooting output has been underwhelming and City’s attack is crowded, so the reservations are fair. We still rate him second because the matchup does the heavy lifting. Ipswich project to concede 2.67 goals, and a City attacker who starts in that game is valuable regardless of how his recent shot numbers look. He makes sense as a vice-captain behind Haaland, remembering that the vice-captain only doubles if the captain does not play.

Bukayo Saka at 12.1 is the cheaper route to a strong captain. He projects for 4.98, has a 21.5% chance to score and is listed on Arsenal penalties. His central positioning near the box supports his shot volume, which matters in a scoring system that rewards shots on target.

The big-swing picks look different. Charalampos Kostoulas projects for only 3.88 but has a ceiling of 10.57 against a Palace side we expect to concede 2.08. His minutes are not guaranteed, which is exactly why he will be lightly captained. Jan Paul van Hecke (4.2, ceiling 10.46) and Ryan Sessegnon (4.0, ceiling 10.03) are defensive gambles that need a clean sheet plus an attacking return to pay off.

Fanteam stacks worth building around

Our favourite pairing is not the most expensive one. Bruno Fernandes and Bryan Mbeumo cost 19.3 together and project for 9.2, matching the Saka and Havertz pairing that costs 24.0. That price gap is why the United duo appears in 6 of our 15 lineups. United are only 33.16% to win at Leeds, so this is not a fixture-led play. It works because both start, Bruno handles penalties, corners and free kicks, and Mbeumo has been United’s most dependable goal threat on the counter.

Saka and Kai Havertz (24.0, 9.2) are the solid alternative. Havertz back in the side is part of what makes Saka’s penalty role secure, so the two are linked in more ways than one.

Haaland and Semenyo project for the most at 11.6 but cost 31.1, more than a quarter of the 120 budget. It sits in just 1 of our 15 lineups because the salary squeezes everything else. The same goes for Rayan Cherki and Semenyo (30.7, 10.2).

Harvey Barnes and Yoane Wissa (22.8, 8.8) is the stack we trust least. Barnes projects well at 4.73, but Wissa has been operating deep, finding few box positions, and his minutes look shakier than his 4.08 suggests. Newcastle’s 22.47% clean-sheet chance at home to Villa also tells you this game could get loose in both directions.

On the defensive side, keep the stacking penalty in mind. Pairing Raya with Calafiori, or two City defenders, costs you when both keep a clean sheet, which is exactly when you want them.

Fanteam value by position

Goalkeepers

Antonín Kinský tops our goalkeepers at 4.29 for 11.2, ahead of Donnarumma (4.21) and Raya (4.06). Raya is the popular clean-sheet pick and Arsenal deserve that reputation, but we have the Spurs keeper slightly ahead at a lower price. If you need savings, Bart Verbruggen (10.4, 3.88) and Djordje Petrovic (8.8, 3.48) are sensible, and our best lineup goes as low as Caoimhín Kelleher at 7.2 for 3.24.

Defenders

Riccardo Calafiori leads at 4.36 with a 10.9% chance to score, and his league minutes look protected. Maxim De Cuyper (11.0, 4.16) has an attacking role against a Palace defence that leaks down his side. Sessegnon at 10.1 is the cheapest of the strong options. Josko Gvardiol projects for 4.16 but has only a 50% start chance in our model. A return to the side is plausible after his benching, but we would not lean on it until the lineup is confirmed.

Midfielders

Bruno (9.7, 4.77) and Mbeumo (9.6, 4.48) are the standout value among proven starters. Below them, Brandon Thomas-Asante (5.7, 3.7, ceiling 8.58) and Morgan Gibbs-White (5.8, 3.75) are the useful fillers. Gibbs-White creates a lot, but Forest project for just 0.91 goals at Arsenal, so we treat him as a salary saver rather than a breakout pick. The cheapest names, such as Xaver Schlager (4.2), Julio Enciso (4.6) and Saša Lukić (3.8), give you minutes and little else. Jaden Philogene (3.9) has only a 68% start chance. The safety net covers a non-starter with the closest-priced cheaper teammate at the same position who does start, but a player who only comes off the bench scores nothing for you.

Forwards

After Haaland, Havertz (11.9, 4.27) is our next forward. Igor Thiago (10.3, 3.89) is well liked for his chance quality and penalty duties, and we agree he is fair value, though Liverpool at home is a test. Dominic Calvert-Lewin gets plenty of praise as a penalty-taking, full-minutes forward, but we only have him at 3.8. He is playable, not a priority.

Underdogs and set-piece takers

The underdog list is led by the United pair at 33.16% to win, followed by Liverpool at Brentford (32.9%) with Florian Wirtz (9.4, 4.01). Dominik Szoboszlai (9.2, 3.91) is on penalties, corners and free kicks, but he carries a hamstring concern and a 75% chance of playing. Villa’s Johan Manzambi (8.6, 3.8) and Emiliano Buendía (8.7, 3.71) are contrarian options in a Newcastle game that projects 3.21 combined goals.

Set-piece duties carry real weight this week. Bruno, Pascal Gross and Szoboszlai each hold all three roles. Gross is widely liked against the league’s leakiest defence, and we see why, but at 13.4 his 4.55 projection is less efficient than Bruno’s. Marcus Tavernier (3.93) is on Bournemouth’s corners and free kicks, though early substitutions are worth watching. Cherki takes City’s corners and free kicks, which adds to his appeal if he starts.

DraftKings Premier League DFS: Saturday slate

The DraftKings Saturday 17 October slate has three games: Fulham v Hull, Manchester City v Ipswich and Brentford v Liverpool. DraftKings Classic uses 8 players (1 GK, 2 D, 2 M, 2 F and 1 UTIL) under a $50,000 cap. Value here means projected points per $1,000 of salary.

Haaland leads at 13.33 points for $10,400 (value 1.28), and Cherki follows at 11.64 for $9,500 (1.23). Both fit together, which leaves $30,100 for the remaining six spots. Semenyo is the City attacker we would skip on this slate: 8.16 at $9,100 is a value of just 0.9. Elliot Anderson ($7,200, 8.17) is the cheaper City midfielder if you want extra exposure to that game. Gianluigi Donnarumma ($6,000, 7.63) is the goalkeeper to beat.

The value sits in Hull’s attack. Mohamed Belloumi ($6,200, 9.24) and Sorba Thomas ($5,800, 8.64) share the slate’s best value at 1.49. Jaidon Anthony ($6,300, 8.65) offers a 16% chance to score for Brentford. At the bottom of the price range, Milos Kerkez ($3,700, 5.44) and Michael Kayode ($3,900, 5.08) are the defenders that make a Haaland and Cherki build work. Lewis Koumas ($5,300, 7.1) is a cheap forward with a 16.4% chance to score. Players with less than a 50% chance of starting show a 0 in the table.

FanDuel Premier League DFS: how to build a lineup

A FanDuel soccer lineup has 7 players: 1 goalkeeper, 2 defenders and 4 forwards or midfielders, within a salary cap of 100 and with at most 4 players from the same team. Goals, assists and shots on target score the most, and goalkeepers and defenders earn points from clean sheets. Four of the seven spots go to forwards and midfielders, so the main decision is how to spread the salary between them and the back line.

Our FanDuel projections for the Saturday and Sunday main slates will be posted on our Premier League DFS projections page as soon as FanDuel releases the slate.

Yahoo Premier League DFS: how to build a lineup

A Yahoo soccer lineup has 11 players: 1 goalkeeper, 3 defenders, 4 midfielders, 2 forwards and 1 UTIL spot, within a salary cap of 200 and with at most 6 players from the same team. Goals and assists carry the most points, and goalkeepers and defenders earn points from clean sheets. With 11 spots to fill, the lineup rewards balance: a few premium attackers, with the rest of the salary spread across solid starters.

Our Yahoo projections for the Saturday and Sunday main slates will be posted on our Premier League DFS projections page as soon as Yahoo releases the slate.

Who to watch before lock

City’s lineup is the biggest unknown of the round. Cherki, Semenyo and Gvardiol all depend on how minutes are managed around European games, and Nico O’Reilly is flagged as a possible starter. Foden and Doku have very low projections because their roles are unclear, not because the matchup is bad.

Szoboszlai’s hamstring is the main fitness question, and it affects Liverpool’s set-piece duties if he misses out. Kevin Schade’s low projection reflects a fitness worry, and Spurs’ attacking lineup is hard to predict, which touches Solanke. Wissa’s role at Newcastle is the other one to check.

Our projections update until lock, so check them again closer to Saturday and confirm late team news before the deadline.
