Our NFL DFS early look week 6 starts with a compact 10-game slate and two obvious places to be: Bills at Raiders, the highest total on the board, and a Rams team implied for 32.5 points against Arizona. A short slate tends to concentrate ownership, so the real job this week is working out where the projections back the popular builds and where they argue for something else. Everything below comes from our projections, which update through Sunday. Check late injury news before lock, because several of this week’s best values depend on it.
Games to target: implied totals for Week 6
BUF@LV (53.5). Buffalo is a 5-point road favourite with a 29.2-point implied total, and Las Vegas sits at a respectable 24.2. It is the only game where both sides clear 24, which makes it the most natural spot for game stacks with a bring-back.
ARI@LAR (52.5). The Rams are 12.5-point favourites and carry the slate’s top team total at 32.5. Arizona is implied for 20.0. The spread suggests a one-sided game, so the bulk of the scoring should sit on the Los Angeles side.
CHI@ATL (49.5). Chicago 26.2, Atlanta 23.2. This is the third-best environment and should draw far less attention than the top two.
Behind those, three home favourites share a 25.5-point implied total: the Colts against Tennessee, the Patriots against the Jets and the Chiefs against the Chargers. The bottom of the slate is thin. CAR@PHI (40.5) and PIT@TB (40.0) project as low-scoring games, and Cleveland’s 18.5 makes Baltimore’s defense interesting.
Early stacks to build around
Rams: Stafford, Nacua, Adams
This is our top-projected stack on every site that lists it. On DraftKings, Matthew Stafford with Puka Nacua and Davante Adams projects for 20.0 points at $21,100. On FanDuel it is 17.1 at $24,000. Stafford is the best quarterback value on DraftKings at $6,400 (1.12), and Nacua is the top-projected receiver everywhere. The Rams have leaned hard on the pass lately, and a huge team total gives them every reason to keep throwing. It will be popular. We are fine with that in cash, and in tournaments the way to differ is the third piece, not the core.
Bills: Allen with a Las Vegas bring-back
Josh Allen is the top-projected quarterback on DraftKings (7.79 at $7,500) and FanDuel (7.54 at $9,500). Our listed stack pairs him with DJ Moore and Dalton Kincaid for 15.7 points at $18,200 on DraftKings. The game total invites a bring-back, and Brock Bowers is the obvious one: he is the top-projected tight end on DraftKings (5.21) and FanDuel (4.13) and the focal point of the Raiders’ passing game.
One caution we take seriously. Buffalo has played more slowly and conservatively in recent weeks, which trims Allen’s ceiling relative to his early-season form. If that continues, James Cook becomes a cheaper way into this offense without paying for the quarterback. The more important variable is Moore: his inclusion assumes he is cleared to play, and we treat that as unconfirmed.
Secondary options
Baltimore (Lamar Jackson, Zay Flowers, Mark Andrews) projects for 14.9 on DraftKings at $18,000, and Kansas City (Patrick Mahomes, Rashee Rice, Travis Kelce) for 14.3 at $18,400. Mahomes makes sense as a pivot if Stafford ownership gets out of hand, though our projections have him fifth among quarterbacks. Tyler Shough with Chris Olave and Juwan Johnson (14.1 at $17,700) is the cheaper option in a NO@NYG game that sits around the middle of the slate at 45.5.
Early value by position
Quarterback. Stafford is the value on DraftKings and FanDuel (0.86). Drake Maye at $6,600 on DraftKings (6.54) is close behind. The Patriots have kept throwing even with leads, which matters at 25.5 implied. Jackson’s appeal depends on him being confirmed active.
Running back. The top tier is deep and expensive. Bijan Robinson leads every site in projection (8.23 at $8,700 on DraftKings). Kyren Williams at $6,800 is the best running back value on DraftKings (1.00). Our numbers like his receiving role and goal-line work on the slate’s best offense more than the price suggests. Kenneth Walker III (6.92 at $8,500) has a strong case as an 8.5-point favourite. We are a little cooler on Jonathan Taylor than his projection implies. Tennessee has been better against the run than through the air, which pushes this matchup toward the passing game. Rhamondre Stevenson ($6,000, 0.94) is a strong value if TreVeyon Henderson remains out.
Wide receiver. Nacua is the clear top option. Drake London ($7,000, 0.86) is efficient and leads on volume rather than touchdowns. A healthy Michael Penix Jr. helps him. Zay Flowers comes with the same Jackson caveat.
Tight end. This is where our numbers and the general read split. Trey McBride projects second at the position (5.11 on DraftKings, 0.71 value), yet the case against him is real: a stingy Rams defense and an offense whose passing production often comes late in lopsided games. With Arizona a 12.5-point underdog, we think that script is actually likely, and that is why the projection holds up. He is a tournament piece with less ownership than he deserves. Isaiah Likely ($4,800, 0.82) is the best DraftKings tight end value and has seen heavy target volume recently.
Defense. Ravens at $3,200 (0.74) against Cleveland’s 18.5 is the DraftKings value. The Colts ($3,400, 0.70) are close.
Fanteam early look
With a 110-credit budget, Fanteam rewards spending at running back, where Bijan Robinson (21.8 credits, 12.78) and Rhamondre Stevenson (15.2, 8.99) share the best value at the position (0.59). Jonathan Taylor (19.9, 11.33) and Kenneth Walker (19.1, 10.92) follow.
The standout number is DJ Moore at 6.5 credits, projected for 7.33 and a value of 1.13, nearly double anyone else on the board. If he is active, he is the easiest salary saver on the slate and a natural fit next to Josh Allen (22.0, 12.27). Our Bills stack of Allen, Moore and Kincaid projects 25.0 points for 40.1 credits, the best stack value on Fanteam at 0.62. If Moore is ruled out, that stack loses its main appeal, so treat it as provisional.
The Rams stack is the projection leader at 31.0, but it costs 56.0 credits, more than half the budget. Rashee Rice (11.9, 0.60) and Josh Downs (10.4, 0.58) are useful mid-priced receivers to make it fit. At tight end, Bowers (15.6, 8.42) and McBride (15.5, 8.35) are near identical. Isaiah Likely is a weaker value here (0.45) than on DraftKings. Arizona’s Jacoby Brissett, McBride and Michael Wilson stack (22.3 for 43.2) is a contrarian route.
Fanteam flags Jaxson Dart, Matthew Caldwell, Tyquan Thornton and Trey Lance as injured. Confirm those before building.
Yahoo early look
Yahoo’s half-PPR scoring with no yardage bonuses changes the order. Drake Maye leads Yahoo’s quarterbacks at $33 (6.37, 0.19), and the Patriots stack with Romeo Doubs and Efton Chism III (11.2 at $60) is the best Yahoo stack value. Rhamondre Stevenson at $22 (4.93, 0.22) is the top running back value if Henderson sits. Bijan Robinson ($39, 7.06) is the premium back. At tight end, Tyler Warren ($19, 0.16) beats Likely on value. The Colts defense at $10 (0.24) is the cheapest strong option on the site. Chuba Hubbard ($33) is a low-owned volume play if you want something different.
What to watch before Sunday
- DJ Moore. His status drives the Bills stack and Fanteam’s best value.
- TreVeyon Henderson. If he stays out, Stevenson is a core value on every site.
- Lamar Jackson. The Baltimore stack and Flowers depend on his return.
- Caleb Williams. If confirmed, Chicago’s 26.2 total opens Luther Burden III as a cheap piece.
- Michael Penix Jr. A change at quarterback would downgrade London and, to a degree, Bijan.
- Ashton Jeanty and the Eagles backfield. Jeanty’s foot and Saquon Barkley’s hamstring both carry workload risk.
