EuroLeague DFS Picks 28 October: Top Plays, Value & Fades

The Wednesday Shootout on FanTeam brings four games and a 79-credit budget on 28 October. Our EuroLeague DFS picks start in one place: Olympiacos. They are road favourites with the third-highest team total on the board, and the projections put three of their players among the best plays of the night at very different price points. Build around that, then spend wisely elsewhere.

Games and pace

All four games sit between 168.5 and 172.5 total points, so there is no true outlier. The edges come from team totals and the spreads behind the odds.

  • Hapoel Tel Aviv vs Efes (172.5): the most lopsided game. Hapoel Tel Aviv are 1.42 favourites with an 88.5 team total, the highest on the slate. Efes are 3.20 underdogs at 82.5, the lowest.
  • Virtus vs Zalgiris (172.5): joint-highest total, with Virtus slight favourites at 1.82 and an 87.5 team total. Zalgiris sit at 85.5.
  • Besiktas vs Olympiacos (170.5): Olympiacos are favoured at 1.80 on the road with an 86.5 team total. Besiktas are at 2.15 and 84.5.
  • ASVEL vs Partizan (168.5): the lowest total and close to a coin flip. ASVEL 1.87, Partizan 2.07, team totals of 84.5 and 83.5.

The Olympiacos game is not the highest total, but it is where the projections concentrate. That matters more than raw pace.

Top plays for the Wednesday Shootout

Player Pos Team Opp Salary Proj Ceiling Value
Sasha Vezenkov PF Olympiacos Besiktas 15.3 33.0 38.4 2.2
Codi Miller-McIntyre PG Olympiacos Besiktas 10.9 32.6 39.3 3.0
Carlik Jones PG Partizan ASVEL 14.7 28.2 32.8 1.9
Scottie Wilbekin PG Besiktas Olympiacos 13.3 27.5 34.3 2.1
Collin Malcolm SF Efes Hapoel Tel Aviv 9.5 27.5 35.1 2.9
Cameron Payne PG Efes Hapoel Tel Aviv 12.4 26.8 31.7 2.2
Zach Leday PF Hapoel Tel Aviv Efes 10.7 26.8 31.7 2.5
Elijah Bryant SG Hapoel Tel Aviv Efes 15.7 25.9 31.1 1.7

Codi Miller-McIntyre is the play of the night

A 32.6 projection at 10.9 credits gives him 3.0x value, comfortably above the tournament line. His 39.3 ceiling is the highest on the slate, higher even than Vezenkov’s. He projects within half a point of the most expensive Olympiacos player while costing 4.4 credits less. Lock him in for cash and tournaments.

Vezenkov earns his price

Sasha Vezenkov tops the projections at 33.0 with a 38.4 ceiling. At 15.3 credits his 2.2x value clears the cash threshold, which is rare for a player this expensive. Pairing him with Miller-McIntyre costs 26.2 credits for 65.6 projected points, a solid return from a favoured team with an 86.5 total.

Efes as underdogs still produce

Efes have the lowest team total on the board, which would normally push us away. The projections disagree on two players. Collin Malcolm at 9.5 credits projects 27.5 with a 35.1 ceiling, good for 2.9x. Cameron Payne at 12.4 sits at 2.2x. When a team is expected to score less, production tends to funnel through fewer hands, and these two look like the hands. Malcolm is the stronger price.

Leday over his teammates

Hapoel Tel Aviv have the best team total, yet the right way in is Zach Leday at 10.7 credits, not the pricier names. His 26.8 projection gives 2.5x, right on the tournament line.

Wilbekin on the other side

Scottie Wilbekin offers a way into the Olympiacos game from the Besiktas side. His 2.1x value works for cash, and a 34.3 ceiling gives him tournament appeal at 13.3 credits.

Value plays

Player Pos Team Salary Proj Value
Cory Joseph SG Olympiacos 4.9 17.0 3.5
Arijan Lakic PG Partizan 5.0 15.4 3.1
Codi Miller-McIntyre PG Olympiacos 10.9 32.6 3.0
Collin Malcolm SF Efes 9.5 27.5 2.9
Tyson Ward SF Olympiacos 7.7 20.7 2.7
Berk Uğurlu PG Besiktas 4.4 11.6 2.6
Zach Leday PF Hapoel Tel Aviv 10.7 26.8 2.5

Cory Joseph is the best value on the slate at 3.5x. A 17.0 projection for 4.9 credits frees up room for the expensive core, and he adds another piece of the Olympiacos offence.

Arijan Lakic at 5.0 credits and 3.1x is the other near-minimum play worth trusting. Together, Joseph and Lakic cost 9.9 credits for 32.4 projected points.

Tyson Ward completes a possible Olympiacos stack at 7.7 credits and 2.7x. Berk Uğurlu is the cheapest option here at 4.4 credits, though his 11.6 projection makes him a pure salary saver.

Fades

Player Team Salary Proj Value
Dan Oturu Hapoel Tel Aviv 12.9 15.8 1.2
Aliou Diarra Virtus 13.6 20.4 1.5
Tyty Washington ASVEL 10.5 16.5 1.6
Elijah Bryant Hapoel Tel Aviv 15.7 25.9 1.7

Dan Oturu is the clearest avoid. A 15.8 projection at 12.9 credits returns 1.2x, despite playing for the heaviest favourite on the slate. Elijah Bryant is the most expensive player available at 15.7 credits, yet he projects below Vezenkov, Miller-McIntyre and Malcolm. He is a good player in a good spot, just badly priced tonight.

Aliou Diarra benefits from the joint-highest game total, but 1.5x at 13.6 credits is not enough. Tyty Washington sits in the lowest-total game at 1.6x.

Carlik Jones deserves a note too. His 28.2 projection is strong, but 1.9x at 14.7 credits falls just short of the cash line. Fine in tournaments, unnecessary in cash.

FAQ: EuroLeague DFS picks for Wednesday

Who is the best value play on the slate?

Cory Joseph at 3.5x, projected for 17.0 points at 4.9 credits. Among higher-priced players, Codi Miller-McIntyre at 3.0x stands out.

Which team should I stack?

Olympiacos. They are 1.80 road favourites with an 86.5 team total, and Vezenkov, Miller-McIntyre, Joseph and Ward all project well for their price.

Why fade Elijah Bryant if Hapoel Tel Aviv have the best team total?

The team spot is good, but 25.9 projected points at 15.7 credits gives only 1.7x. Zach Leday offers similar output from the same team for 5.0 credits less.

Check confirmed lineups and injury news before lock, and adjust if any of these players are ruled out.
