EuroLeague DFS Picks 22 October: Top Plays, Value & Fades

Updated 22 October 2026, 16:48 — refreshed with the latest lines and projections.

Thursday’s nine-game slate on FanTeam gives us plenty of scoring environments and a handful of clear mispricings. These EuroLeague DFS picks for the Thursday Shootout on 22 October come straight from our projections. We cover the top plays, the cheap salaries that make an 80-credit budget work, and the expensive names worth leaving out.

Games and pace

Paris against Valencia is the headline game. Its 186.5 total is the highest on the board, and Valencia’s 95.5 team total leads the slate. Valencia are 1.55 favourites on the road, so the market expects a fast game that they control.

Maccabi against Madrid is next at 181.5. Madrid are 1.53 favourites with a 93.5 team total, but Maccabi’s 88.5 is high for an underdog. Both sides should produce fantasy points.

Panathinaikos at 1.08 against Baskonia is the most lopsided line of the night. The home side are projected for 93.5 and Baskonia for only 78.5. Zalgiris at 1.16 against ASVEL looks similar, 92.5 against 81.5. Lines like these carry blowout risk, and starters on the favoured side could see fewer late minutes.

Partizan against Red Star is the slowest game at 162.5, with team totals of 82.5 and 81.5. The rest of the slate sits between 171.5 and 175.5.

Top plays

Player Pos Team Opp Salary Proj Ceiling Value
Carlik Jones PG Partizan Red Star 14.3 26.6 31.4 1.9
Yam Madar PG Maccabi Madrid 10.8 26.5 35.5 2.5
Sylvain Francisco PG Panathinaikos Baskonia 15.2 26.1 29.0 1.7
Dwayne Bacon SF Dubai Bayern 14.5 25.9 32.3 1.8
Theo Maledon PG Madrid Maccabi 14.5 25.4 30.0 1.8
Mathias Lessort C Panathinaikos Baskonia 13.3 25.3 29.2 1.9
Kendrick Nunn SG Panathinaikos Baskonia 14.0 25.2 30.5 1.8
Cameron Payne PG Efes Besiktas 12.4 25.1 30.2 2.0

Yam Madar is the play of the night

Madar projects for 26.5 points, a tenth behind the top projection, yet he costs 10.8. That is 3.5 credits less than Carlik Jones. His 35.5 ceiling is the highest among our top plays, and he plays in the second-highest total on the slate. Maccabi are underdogs, but an 88.5 team total in a 181.5 game is plenty. At 2.5x he works in cash and tournaments alike.

Carlik Jones and the Panathinaikos core

Jones has the top projection at 26.6, but at 14.3 his value is 1.9, and he plays in the lowest-total game. He is a fine anchor if the salary fits. He is not a must.

Panathinaikos have three names in the top eight: Francisco, Lessort and Nunn. The 93.5 team total supports them. The 1.08 price is the worry, because a blowout can cut their minutes. Lessort is the cleanest of the three at 13.3 and 1.9x. Francisco is the most expensive player in the table at 15.2, and his 1.7x value is the weakest here.

Payne, Bacon and Maledon

Cameron Payne hits exactly 2.0x at 12.4, with Efes as 1.5 favourites and an 89.5 team total. He is a solid cash option. Dwayne Bacon has the second-best ceiling at 32.3 in an even game, Dubai at 1.82 with an 86.5 team total, which makes him a tournament piece. Maledon gets the best environment of the group with Madrid’s 93.5 team total, though 1.8x at 14.5 is only fair.

Value plays for an 80-credit budget

Player Pos Team Salary Proj Value
Berk Uğurlu PG Besiktas 4.4 13.5 3.1
Matteo Spagnolo SG Baskonia 5.3 14.9 2.8
Nikola Tanaskovic PF Partizan 6.0 15.5 2.6
Yam Madar PG Maccabi 10.8 26.5 2.5
Austin Wiley C Bayern 9.0 22.6 2.5
Damion Baugh PG Baskonia 7.5 19.0 2.5
DJ Stewart SF Baskonia 7.2 18.3 2.5

Berk Uğurlu leads at 3.1x. At 4.4 he frees up salary for two premium players. Spagnolo at 2.8x and Tanaskovic at 2.6x also clear the tournament threshold.

Austin Wiley is the standout mid-priced option. 22.6 points for 9.0 is close to top-play production, and Bayern are in an even game with an 85.5 team total.

Baskonia have three value names: Spagnolo, Baugh and Stewart. Their 78.5 team total is the lowest on the slate, so this is a pricing play, not an environment play. The salaries are low enough that the projections still clear 2.5x. One Baskonia player is easy to justify. Three in one lineup ties you heavily to a team the market gives little chance.

Fades: badly priced tonight

Player Team Salary Proj Value
Devon Dotson Besiktas 10.7 7.5 0.7
Guerschon Yabusele Panathinaikos 12.6 18.1 1.4
Juancho Hernangomez Panathinaikos 10.0 13.7 1.4
Andres Feliz Madrid 12.0 17.5 1.5

Devon Dotson is the clearest fade on the slate. A 7.5 projection at 10.7 gives 0.7x. Uğurlu, his cheaper Besiktas teammate, projects for more at less than half the price.

Yabusele and Hernangomez are both at 1.4x. Panathinaikos have a strong team total, but our projections give those points to Francisco, Lessort and Nunn. The blowout risk applies to these two as well.

Andres Feliz plays in a great game environment, but 17.5 points at 12.0 gives 1.5x. Madar costs 1.2 more and projects for nine more points. None of these are bad players. They are just priced above what we expect from them tonight.

Building around our EuroLeague DFS picks

A simple build starts with Madar and Wiley in the middle tier, adds Uğurlu and one Baskonia value piece, and spends the savings on two of Jones, Lessort and Payne. For tournaments, Bacon’s 32.3 ceiling and Madar’s 35.5 are the upside to target.

FAQ

Who is the best value on Thursday’s EuroLeague slate?

Berk Uğurlu has the best raw value at 3.1x for 4.4. Among the higher-priced players, Yam Madar at 2.5x with a 26.5 projection is the most useful.

Which game has the best fantasy environment?

Paris against Valencia has the highest total at 186.5, and Valencia’s 95.5 is the top team total. Maccabi against Madrid follows at 181.5.

Should I stack Panathinaikos?

Cautiously. Their 93.5 team total is strong, but the 1.08 odds point to blowout risk. Lessort is the best value of their starters, and Yabusele and Hernangomez are fades.
