This NFL DFS early look week 4 starts with one game sitting clearly above the rest. Jacksonville at Cincinnati carries a 51.5 total, and the Bengals’ 27.0 implied points sits just behind Buffalo’s 27.8 for the best team total on the slate. Beyond that, the running back pool is unusually deep in the middle tier, which gives us room to pay up at receiver without stretching the build.
Everything below reflects our projections as they stand now. They update through Sunday, so treat this as a starting framework and check late injury news before lock.
Games to target in our NFL DFS early look week 4
JAX@CIN (51.5). Cincinnati is implied for 27.0 and Jacksonville for 24.5 with the Bengals only 2.5-point favourites. A tight spread on the highest total is the profile we want for game stacks on both sides.
NE@BUF (48.5). Buffalo’s 27.8 is the top team total, against New England’s 20.8. With the Bills laying 7, the more likely script is Buffalo controlling the game, so we lean towards the Bills’ side rather than full game stacks.
DEN@SF and DAL@HOU (48.5 and 48.0). Both are close games with mid-20s home totals. Houston at 25.5 and Dallas at 22.5 make that one a sneaky place for correlation.
KC@LV (47.5). Kansas City is implied for 26.0 on the road. The Chiefs’ backfield is where our numbers are most excited.
Two lopsided spots also matter. Baltimore is implied for 27.0 against Tennessee’s 15.5, and Minnesota for 24.5 against Miami’s 14.0. Those are running back and defence spots more than passing ones. At the bottom, GB@TB sits at 38.5 with Tampa Bay implied for just 17.5.
Early stacks to build around
Cincinnati: Burrow, Chase, Higgins
This is our top-projected stack on every site. On DraftKings it projects for 55.6 points at $21,000, and on FanDuel 49.1 at $24,200. Ja’Marr Chase is the anchor at 19.89 projected points on DraftKings at $8,100. There is a reasonable case he ends up less popular than usual with Jaxon Smith-Njigba priced above him, which makes him a stronger build-around than his salary suggests.
The bring-back is straightforward. Parker Washington is consistently the focal point of the Jacksonville passing game, and our projections agree: 17.19 points at $6,500 on DraftKings. Trevor Lawrence also works as the stack quarterback from the other side at a lower price than Burrow.
Seattle: Darnold, Smith-Njigba, Barner
On DraftKings this is the best value stack we have, 49.3 projected points for $17,600. Smith-Njigba is the highest-projected receiver on the slate on every site, including 23.05 on DraftKings at $9,100. He is expensive, but he outprojects several of the premium running backs priced below him, and that gap is the reason to pay for him.
Buffalo: Allen, Kincaid, Moore
The cheapest of the top stacks on DraftKings at $18,700 for 50.4 points, and the best value stack on FanDuel at 45.7 for $21,900. Josh Allen is our top quarterback everywhere. We are less certain about the pass catchers than the projection implies. DJ Moore’s return could squeeze Dalton Kincaid’s targets, and Kincaid hasn’t consistently delivered on his role yet. Allen himself is the safer piece.
Secondary looks
Dallas with Prescott, CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens projects for 52.0 on DraftKings at $20,500. Pickens is the tournament angle: a big-play receiver who has been quiet, is likely to be underowned as a result, and faces a Houston secondary that can be beaten. The Rams stack with Stafford, Davante Adams and Puka Nacua also rates well, though it depends heavily on Nacua’s status.
Early value by position
Quarterback
Trevor Lawrence is the standout on DraftKings at $5,900 for 20.49 projected points, nearly level with Burrow for $900 less. On FanDuel he projects 20.12 at $7,900. C.J. Stroud also grades well on both sites, at $5,700 on DraftKings for 18.69 and $7,000 on FanDuel for 18.45. That is a mild disagreement with the wider read on Houston at home against Dallas. We see him as a reasonable value, not a fade, though he is better suited to large-field tournaments than cash. Kyler Murray at $5,300 on DraftKings for 17.91 is the cheapest viable option.
Running back
This is where the slate gets interesting. On DraftKings, Jeremiyah Love ($5,800, 18.0), Aaron Jones Sr. ($6,000, 18.05) and Chase Brown ($6,100, 18.06) project almost identically. Love has the clearest bellcow case against a weakened Giants defence and is our favourite of the three.
Jones is where we differ from the likely crowd view. He looks set to be popular, and there is an argument that he is the weakest of the tier. Our projections disagree. Volume with little competition behind him against a Miami team implied for 14.0 is a strong combination, and he is our top running back value on Fanteam and FanDuel. Brown is the more divisive one, with real questions about how the Jaguars defend the run, but the projection holds up.
Two names sit outside our top values but deserve attention. Bhayshul Tuten could see a much bigger snap share in a strong matchup, and Kyren Williams appears to have taken over the better role in the Rams backfield. Both are tournament pieces until their roles firm up.
Wide receiver
Garrett Wilson at $6,800 on DraftKings for 17.77 is the cleanest mid-range value, though Chicago is a tougher matchup than his last one. Parker Washington is the pick at $6,500. On FanDuel, Nico Collins at $7,400 for 14.57 is the best price-to-projection receiver after Smith-Njigba.
Tight end
Brock Bowers and Trey McBride top the position everywhere. For savings on DraftKings, George Kittle at $5,100 for 13.79 stands out, with a thin San Francisco receiver group potentially funnelling extra looks his way. Brenton Strange ($3,200, 9.81), AJ Barner ($3,000, 8.95) and T.J. Hockenson ($3,300, 9.39) are the punts. On FanDuel, Isaiah Likely at $5,100 for 9.93 is the value.
Defence
The Vikings against Miami top every site, at $4,000 on DraftKings for 10.63. The Rams at $2,600 and the Bears at $3,500 on FanDuel are the cheaper routes.
Fanteam early look
The Cincinnati trio is again the top stack on Fanteam at 52.9 projected points for 42.6 credits. Dallas is next at 49.0 for 40.1 credits, and it is the slightly more efficient way to get exposure to a 48-point game.
Quarterback. Josh Allen at 21.5 credits for 23.15 points is the only quarterback clearing a 1.0 value. Brock Purdy at 18.7 credits for 18.65 is the best mid-tier option. Patrick Mahomes at 20.0 credits for 19.24 looks too cheap for his tier by reputation, but our projection treats him as fairly priced rather than a bargain.
Running back. Kenneth Walker is the core piece at 14.2 credits for 20.75 points, matching the projection of Derrick Henry and Christian McCaffrey, who both cost 16.5. That 2.3-credit saving matters on a 110 budget. Aaron Jones Sr. at 10.8 credits for 16.52 is the best value on the site. Ashton Jeanty at 12.0 for 16.61 grades well, though a Kansas City lead could limit his script.
Wide receiver. Garrett Wilson (11.2 credits, 17.64) and Ja’Marr Chase (12.4, 18.87) are the value leaders. Davante Adams at 10.7 credits for 16.39 is our favourite contrarian piece, especially if the Rams’ receiver room thins out.
Tight end and defence. Bowers at 10.2 credits for 16.51 and McBride at 10.8 for 17.13 are the two best values at the position. Kittle at 9.0 is the step down. The Vikings at 9.6 credits for 10.03 are the clear defence.
On Fanteam’s injury list, Baker Mayfield and Jaxson Dart are the notable names. Tampa Bay’s 17.5 implied total already reflects a difficult quarterback situation, and we would be cautious with its pass catchers.
What to watch before Sunday
- Breece Hall. If he sits, Braelon Allen becomes a strong cheap back in a close game against Chicago.
- Puka Nacua. His status shapes the whole Rams passing game. If he misses, Adams moves up our list.
- Rams tight ends. The rotation is volatile. Tyler Higbee is only a tournament punt if others are ruled out.
- San Francisco receivers. Further absences would push more volume to Kittle and McCaffrey.
- Giants and Buccaneers quarterbacks. Monitor how both situations settle, since they affect players on both sides of those games.
- Drake Maye. Any concern about his shoulder would further sour an already thin Patriots outlook.
Projections update through Sunday, and the running back tier in particular could shift with practice reports. Check late injury news before lock.
