Our NFL DFS picks week 7 start in Detroit, where Packers-Lions sits at a 53.5 total, a full four points clear of anything else on the board. It is a wide slate, though, with three more games at 47.5 or higher, so there is room to build around the obvious game without being trapped by it. Everything below comes from our projections, which update through Sunday. Check late injury news before lock, because several key spots this week hinge on game-day decisions.
Top games and implied totals
- GB@DET (53.5): Lions 28.5, Packers 25.0. The best environment on the slate by a distance.
- SF@ATL (49.5): 49ers 26.0, Falcons 23.5.
- LAR@LV (48.5): Rams 25.8, Raiders 22.8.
- CIN@BAL (47.5): Bengals 25.0, Ravens 22.5.
- NYG@HOU (42.5): Houston’s 26.5 is the fourth-highest team total, with the Texans laying 10.5.
Houston is the sneaky one. A low game total hides a home team expected to score plenty against a Giants side implied for just 16.0, which is why the Texans defense tops our DST projections on every site.
Best stacks for NFL DFS week 7
Bengals: Joe Burrow, Ja’Marr Chase, Tee Higgins. The highest-projected stack on every site, 56.3 points on DraftKings for $21,600. It costs the most, but it also has the cleanest path to separation if the field crowds into Green Bay and Detroit. Ravens status matters here: Lamar Jackson is flagged on Fanteam’s injury list, and his availability changes how hard Baltimore can push back.
Packers: Jordan Love, Christian Watson, Matthew Golden. On DraftKings this is the efficiency play, 54.9 points for $19,000, the best value of any stack we project. Love himself is our top DraftKings and FanDuel quarterback. Expect him to be popular, so the edge comes from building further into the game, adding a Lions bring-back such as Jahmyr Gibbs or Amon-Ra St. Brown rather than running Love alone with one receiver.
Lions: Jared Goff, Amon-Ra St. Brown, Sam LaPorta. Projects at 54.8 on DraftKings for $19,400, effectively level with Green Bay. The logic for Goff over Love is simple: the higher implied total sits with Detroit, and the price gap on DraftKings ($6,800 vs $6,000) should push ownership toward Love. On Fanteam, Goff is the better value of the two at 1.11.
Panthers: Bryce Young, Jalen Coker, Tetairoa McMillan. The contrarian stack. 51.3 points on DraftKings for $19,100 in a 44.5-total game nobody will be chasing. Young has been throwing well, and Coker’s slot role sets up nicely against Tampa.
Core plays by position
Quarterback
Love leads at 21.05 points on DraftKings ($6,000) and 20.73 on FanDuel ($7,600). C.J. Stroud is the cheaper core option: 20.29 on DraftKings at $5,700 and 20.14 on FanDuel at $7,500, the best value among the top five quarterbacks on DK. The catch with Stroud is that Houston’s targets are spread around, which makes him easier to play with one receiver or even on his own.
Running back
Jahmyr Gibbs is the top projected player on the slate: 27.96 on DraftKings and 25.09 on FanDuel, both at $9,800. In the best game, he is worth the squeeze. Christian McCaffrey is the strongest value among the studs at $7,600 on DraftKings (23.09, 3.04 value). With Mike Evans flagged as injured, the 49ers offense narrows, and McCaffrey is the main beneficiary. Bijan Robinson (24.97 at $8,500 on DK) is the tournament alternative, likely carrying less ownership than Gibbs off a quiet week.
Wide receiver
St. Brown (20.65, $7,800 DK) and Chase (20.27, $8,100 DK) are the anchors. Drake London at $7,500 projects for 18.52 and saves you money against the top tier. Puka Nacua tops our receiver projections at 21.83 on DraftKings, but his status needs checking before lock. If he is ruled out, the money freed up flows naturally to St. Brown or London.
Tight end
George Kittle is the best value tight end on every site: 16.9 points at $5,700 on DraftKings, 13.83 at $6,500 on FanDuel. He will be very popular, and that popularity is justified. LaPorta at $4,800 on DraftKings (13.34) is the cheaper route into the Lions stack.
Defense
Texans first (9.58 on DK at $3,400). The Titans at $2,600 on DraftKings and $3,200 on FanDuel are the salary savers, both projecting for 7.79.
Value plays
- Bo Nix (DK $5,000, 18.32): The top value quarterback on DraftKings by our numbers. He is not an easy play to like, given the uneven form and a habit of checking down, but at this price he frees up Gibbs plus McCaffrey. Best used as a tournament play on his own, without his receivers.
- Matthew Golden (DK $6,000, 16.45): Strong value, but likely the chalkiest receiver in the Packers game. On FanDuel, Christian Watson projects higher (14.59 at $7,400 vs Golden’s 13.63 at $6,700) and should be owned less. We lean Watson in tournaments.
- Jalen Coker (FD $6,200, 13.1): Our top FanDuel receiver value.
- Ted Hurst III (DK $3,000, 8.59): Near-minimum price, full-time role, real downfield usage.
- Chris Godwin Jr. (DK $4,300, 11.78): Here our projections and the general mood split. Godwin’s efficiency has been poor and he is easy to dismiss, but at this price the volume carries him in our model. We like him more than most.
- Cade Otton (DK $3,100, 9.47): The best value tight end on DraftKings, a pure punt that lets you pay up elsewhere.
Fanteam picks
Fanteam’s 110-credit budget rewards the same structure as DraftKings: two premium backs and value elsewhere. McCaffrey is the standout at 17.8 credits for 22.04 points, the best value of any top-five back (1.24). Gibbs at 21.6 credits leads at 26.31 and pairs well with him if you save at receiver.
At quarterback, Stroud (16.2 credits, 18.79, 1.16) and Goff (17.2, 19.04, 1.11) beat Love and Purdy on value. For a true punt, J.J. McCarthy at 11.0 credits projects for 12.81, a tournament-only option.
The cheap backfield is where Fanteam builds come together. Jordan Mason at 6.0 credits (10.09) and Dylan Sampson at 4.0 (6.93) are the top value backs. Braelon Allen at 9.2 credits (12.17) depends on the Jets backfield: if Breece Hall sits, Allen becomes a strong play; if Hall is active, the split muddies both.
At receiver, St. Brown (17.5, 19.66) and Chase (17.2, 19.19) both return 1.12. Keenan Allen at 8.5 credits (10.27) is the value pick. At tight end, Kittle (14.4, 16.46) edges Brock Bowers (15.2, 17.18) on value, but Bowers is the better tournament play with attention fixed on Kittle. Texans defense at 9.1 credits.
Note the Fanteam injury list: Lamar Jackson, Mike Evans, Davante Adams, David Montgomery and Emeka Egbuka are all flagged. Zay Flowers projects at 0.99 value here, which is too thin while Jackson’s status is uncertain.
Yahoo picks
Yahoo’s half PPR scoring with no yardage bonuses tilts the value toward backs and touchdown-heavy roles. Kittle at $22 (13.39) is the best value at a premium position. Gibbs ($43, 24.03) and Bijan ($38, 21.57) lead the backs, and Woody Marks at $19 (14.06) is the value back. His efficiency in lead roles has been shaky, but our model trusts the volume. Geno Smith at $22 (16.04) is the cheap quarterback, though Stroud at $35 (19.53) is the safer choice. Cade Otton at $10 saves salary at tight end. Titans ($12) and Texans ($15) are the defensive options. The Packers stack projects 46.9 for $96.
Fades and pivots
Ravens skill players, until Lamar’s status is settled. Flowers and Derrick Henry both need Jackson active to reach their ceilings. Henry is also the weakest value among the top five backs on FanDuel (1.91 at $9,000).
Golden to Watson. Same game, similar role, lower ownership expected for Watson.
Kittle to Bowers or Tucker Kraft in tournaments. Kittle is the right cash play. In big fields, Bowers offers the same ceiling with less company, and Kraft is a cheaper route into the top game against a Lions defense that has struggled with tight ends.
Projections update through Sunday. Check final injury reports on Nacua, Jackson, Hall and the 49ers receivers before lock.
