Our NFL DFS picks for Week 6 start from a short, top-heavy slate. Two games sit well clear of the rest on totals, the running back tier at the top is deep, and receivers are priced lower than usual because several elite names are not playing. That combination makes stacks cheaper to build and ownership more concentrated, so the edge comes from knowing which chalk to eat and where to step off it.
Top games and implied totals
Bills at Raiders (53.5) is the biggest total on the board. Buffalo is implied for 29.0 and Las Vegas for 24.5, which gives us a real two-sided environment rather than a one-team blowout.
Cardinals at Rams (51.5) is lopsided. The Rams are 12.5-point favourites with a 32.0 implied total, the highest single team number on the slate, while Arizona sits at 19.5.
Below that, the Colts (26.0 against Tennessee), the Patriots (25.2 against the Jets) and the Chiefs (24.5 against the Chargers) are the next tier. Bears at Falcons and Saints at Giants had no total in our data at the time of writing. Both games feature players we like, so watch where those lines settle.
Best stacks for NFL DFS picks week 6
Matthew Stafford, Puka Nacua, Davante Adams
This is the top stack on every site we cover. On DraftKings it projects for 62.9 points at $21,100, and on FanDuel 55.8 at $24,000. Stafford at $6,400 on DraftKings carries the best value of any quarterback on the site (3.55), and Nacua leads all receivers at 24.13 projected points. The worry is game script. A 12.5-point spread can mean the Rams stop throwing early. We still see the target concentration around Nacua as strong enough to survive a lighter passing day, and he is the one piece we want across formats. In tournaments, swapping Adams for Tyler Higbee ($3,400 on DraftKings) keeps the correlation and frees salary.
Josh Allen, Dalton Kincaid, Khalil Shakir
Allen is our top projected quarterback everywhere, at 25.54 on DraftKings for $7,500. There is a fair argument against paying up: Buffalo has looked more methodical lately, and big road favourites at this price do not always produce winning tournament scores. We side with the projection. His rushing floor protects him in any script, and the Raiders are implied for enough points to push Buffalo. Adding Brock Bowers as a bring-back turns this into a full game stack.
Kirk Cousins, Brock Bowers, Tre Tucker
The other side of that game rates nearly as well on value. Cousins is $5,400 on DraftKings with an 18.06 projection, and the stack comes in at 47.2 for $17,600. Tucker is the downfield piece who makes a 300-yard Cousins game possible. James Cook III is the natural run-back.
Core plays by position
Quarterback
Stafford is the value play, Allen the ceiling play. Drake Maye (21.71 on DraftKings, $6,600) is a strong third option because New England has kept throwing even with leads, though settling on his pass catchers is harder.
Running back
The top four are all live. Bijan Robinson leads at 25.39 on DraftKings ($8,700) against a Bears run defense that has struggled. Jonathan Taylor (23.08, $8,000) has the Colts’ 26.0 implied total behind him and may draw less attention than he deserves. Kenneth Walker III (22.52, $8,500) has taken on a workhorse role, and with Rashee Rice on our injury list his usage looks secure. Kyren Williams at $6,800 offers the best value of the group (3.03). Blake Corum is cutting into his snaps, which caps the floor, but nobody on the slate has a bigger team total behind him.
Wide receiver
Nacua is the core play. Drake London (20.06 on DraftKings, $7,000) has a dominant target share, but that depends on Michael Penix Jr. starting, so confirm before lock. Malik Nabers (16.09, $6,500) works as a standalone play against a soft Saints defense.
Tight end
Bowers is the best tight end on the slate at 19.47 on DraftKings, priced almost like a top receiver at $7,500. He is worth it in a 53.5 total. Trey McBride (16.94) is a fine pivot but faces a tougher Rams defense.
Value plays
Isaiah Likely is where our numbers split by site. On DraftKings at $4,800 he projects for 13.73 with a 2.86 value, and we like him a lot there given his recent target volume against a Saints defense that struggles with tight ends. On Fanteam, at 14.2 credits, his value drops to 0.92 and we would rather spend elsewhere.
On DraftKings, Germie Bernard ($4,000, 10.97) has stepped into a larger role with Pittsburgh’s receiver group banged up and faces a Tampa defense that should force quick throws. The Panthers DST at $2,500 projects for 8.03, nearly matching the top defenses at a fraction of the price, against an Eagles offense missing Jalen Hurts and Saquon Barkley per our injury list.
On FanDuel, Rhamondre Stevenson ($6,300, 15.58) is the standout value back, but only if TreVeyon Henderson stays out. If Henderson is active, the role gets murky. Travis Kelce at $5,400 (11.06) is the best tight end value on that site.
Fanteam picks
Fanteam’s 110-credit budget makes the Rams stack expensive at 56.0 credits for 59.4 projected, but it remains the highest-scoring stack and leaves room if you lean on the cheap plays below.
- Josh Allen (22.0 credits, 24.32) and Drake Maye (18.6, 20.66) share the top quarterback value at 1.11. Maye is the way to save four credits without giving up much.
- Kenneth Walker (19.1, 21.69) has the best value among the premium backs at 1.14, edging Taylor (19.9, 22.34).
- Braelon Allen (8.8, 14.12, value 1.60) is the key salary saver. Breece Hall is on our injury list, which opens up the Jets backfield. Tyler Allgeier (8.7, 13.11) is the next cheapest option.
- A.J. Brown at 4.5 credits projects for 13.46, the best value on the site by a distance. His status is uncertain, so treat him as a play to confirm, not a lock.
- Brock Bowers (15.6, 18.14) has the best value among the top tight ends. Tyler Higbee (7.1, 9.03) is the cheap route into the Rams.
- Panthers DST (7.9, 7.91) is the only defense in our top group at a 1.0 value.
Pairing Braelon Allen and a confirmed A.J. Brown is what makes Stafford-Nacua plus a premium back affordable.
Yahoo picks
Yahoo’s half PPR scoring with no yardage bonuses favours touchdown equity over catch volume. Drake Maye at $33 (21.11) has the best value among the top quarterbacks, and Daniel Jones at $23 (16.35) is a cheap stack option against Tennessee. The Bills stack is the efficient build at $75 for 42.9 points, compared with $103 for the Rams version. Brock Bowers ($29, 15.24) and Tyler Warren ($19, 10.26) both rate well at tight end. Dameon Pierce at $10 (11.16) is the standout salary saver with Philadelphia’s backfield thinned out. For defense, the Colts at $10 (7.12) are the cheap choice.
Fades and pivots
Patrick Mahomes will tempt anyone looking for leverage off Stafford, and his ownership may be low. Our projections do not support the move. He sits at 17.89 on Fanteam with a sub-1.0 value, in a 41.5 total against a Chargers defense that has tightened up. If you want Chiefs exposure, Walker is the cleaner route.
Michael Wilson is part of the Cardinals stack, but the Rams defense has been tough on receivers. Keep him to tournament run-backs at most.
Ashton Jeanty has a great matchup on paper, but his foot injury leaves us unsure how explosive he will be. We prefer Cousins stacks built through Bowers and Tucker.
The Browns backfield is one to avoid entirely given its injury mess. Spend that salary on a cleaner role.
Our projections update through Sunday. Check the status of Penix, Caleb Williams, A.J. Brown and TreVeyon Henderson before lock, because each one changes the value picture on at least one site.
