These NBA DFS picks cover the nine-game main slate on 6 November, built from our projections and the latest injury report. The slate is short on obvious paths. The top end has a few strong names, the middle is awkward, and several of the best situations depend on questionable tags that may not clear before lock.

I start with Fanteam, our main site, then give a short look at DraftKings, FanDuel and Yahoo. Value is judged inside each site’s own scale, never across sites.

NBA DFS picks for Fanteam

The Fanteam lineup is seven players (PG, SG, SF, PF, C and two UTIL) under a 90 cap, with at most seven from one team. The main slate covers ATL-WAS, CHA-BOS, CLE-PHI, DAL-UTA, LAL-POR, MEM-OKC, MIL-TOR, NOP-MIN and SAC-SAS. On Fanteam, value is projected points divided by salary, and around 3 is a normal return.

Top plays

Player Pos Team Salary Proj Value
Luka Doncic PG LAL 19.0 55.6 2.93
Victor Wembanyama PF SAS 18.9 54.9 2.90
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander PG OKC 17.0 51.6 3.04
Jayson Tatum SF BOS 16.7 46.2 2.77
Cooper Flagg SF DAL 16.5 45.0 2.73
Scottie Barnes SF TOR 14.7 44.7 3.04
Jalen Johnson PF ATL 16.2 44.2 2.73
Domantas Sabonis C SAC 15.7 44.2 2.82

Doncic and Wembanyama project highest, but Shai Gilgeous-Alexander gives the best return of the three at 3.04. I still would not treat him as automatic. Memphis has plenty of bodies to throw at him, and he will likely be the most-owned expensive name. On Fanteam, that matters less than on a big-field tournament, but it is worth knowing.

Tatum is the star I like most for the price. Charlotte has little that can guard him and its frontcourt is thin, and Knueppel and Grant Williams are both out according to the latest injury report. Flagg is my other pay-up. Utah is without Jaren Jackson Jr. and Jusuf Nurkic, so the rim is open for him.

Scottie Barnes has a strong projection at a fair price, but he is listed as questionable, and Kawhi Leonard is out. I would not lock him in until his status is clear. Jalen Johnson is also questionable. If Anthony Davis plays for Washington, I am not interested in Johnson because Washington has size and a defense that makes the matchup hard. His appeal only grows if Davis sits.

Value plays

Player Pos Team Salary Proj Value
Rudy Gobert C MIN 9.2 32.9 3.58
Kyshawn George SF WAS 9.7 34.3 3.54
Malik Monk SG SAC 6.7 23.0 3.43
Donovan Clingan C POR 10.5 35.7 3.40
Ja’Kobe Walter SG TOR 8.3 27.4 3.30
Stephon Castle SG SAS 10.3 34.0 3.30
Alexandre Sarr PF WAS 8.5 27.2 3.20

Center is thin at the top, and that makes Rudy Gobert the cleanest value on the board. He is the best return at 3.58, and Minnesota is without Anthony Edwards according to the latest injury report. He will be popular, and I am fine with that. Donovan Clingan is the alternative if you want a bit more projection, and Portland is missing Ja Morant, Shaedon Sharpe and Vit Krejci.

Washington gives me two spots. Kyshawn George and Alexandre Sarr both return well, and I like Sarr in particular because his upside grows if Davis is out. Both depend on the Davis decision, so I would wait on it where I can. Malik Monk is the cheap play I would use to open salary for stars, and Sacramento is thin with Keegan Murray and Ben Simmons out. Castle is a fair mid-priced play in a game where Tobias Harris is out for San Antonio.

Fades

Player Pos Team Salary Proj Value
Derrick White SG BOS 11.7 29.3 2.50
Trey Murphy III SF NOP 11.8 29.7 2.52
Brandon Miller SF CHA 13.6 35.7 2.63
Austin Reaves SG LAL 13.7 36.9 2.69

None of these are bad players. They are badly priced tonight. Each returns well below the 3 mark, and in a seven-man lineup that gap adds up. Derrick White and Trey Murphy III are the clearest cases at roughly 2.5. Murphy is listed as probable, so the issue is the price, not health. Brandon Miller and Austin Reaves are in better spots, but I would rather spend the same salary elsewhere.

DraftKings

DraftKings uses eight spots (PG, SG, SF, PF, C, G, F, UTIL) under a $50,000 cap. Value here is points per $1,000, and around 5 is par. Gobert at 5.98 and George at 5.91 lead the cheaper options. Kenrich Williams and Monk are the cheapest returns on the board. I would stay away from Myles Turner despite his number, because I think he is too heavily owned for his role, and Daniel Gafford is the center I would look at instead.

Player Pos Team Salary Proj Value
Rudy Gobert C MIN $5,500 32.9 5.98
Kyshawn George SG WAS $5,800 34.3 5.91
Kenrich Williams SF OKC $4,400 25.3 5.75
Malik Monk PG SAC $4,000 23.0 5.75
Donovan Clingan C POR $6,300 35.7 5.67
Myles Turner C MIL $4,900 27.2 5.55

FanDuel

FanDuel uses nine spots (PG, SG, SF, PF, C, G/F, F/C and two UTIL) under a $60,000 cap, with value again measured per $1,000. Wembanyama projects 57.1 and Doncic 55.3, the top two on the site, although their salaries are not listed in our data yet. Among the cheaper plays, Kenrich Williams is the best return at 6.18. I am more cautious with Aday Mara, because there are many center options on the slate and I do not feel strongly about him.

Player Pos Team Salary Proj Value
Kenrich Williams SF OKC $3,900 24.1 6.18
Kyshawn George SG WAS $5,800 33.8 5.83
Collin Murray-Boyles PF TOR $4,200 24.2 5.76
Neemias Queta C BOS $4,600 26.2 5.70
Darryn Peterson PG UTA $5,500 31.0 5.64
Aday Mara C OKC $4,300 24.1 5.60

Yahoo

Yahoo uses eight spots (PG, SG, G, SF, PF, F, C, UTIL) under a $200 cap, with at most six players from one team. Value is a plain ratio, and anything above 1 beats the price. Wembanyama (1.02), Gilgeous-Alexander (1.01) and Flagg (1.12) all clear it among the top plays. Flagg is the best of those. The cheap end is led by Aday Mara at 2.41, with four Oklahoma City or Toronto-linked names on the list.

Player Pos Team Salary Proj Value
Aday Mara C OKC 10 24.1 2.41
Kingston Flemings PG ATL 10 21.5 2.15
Brayden Burries PG MIL 11 21.1 1.92
Kenrich Williams SF OKC 13 24.1 1.85
Ja’Kobe Walter SG TOR 14 25.6 1.83
Jared McCain PG OKC 13 21.3 1.64

Injury situations to watch

The slate hinges on a handful of questionable tags. According to the latest injury report, these are the ones that matter most:

  • Anthony Davis (WAS): Questionable. If he sits, I like Washington’s cheaper pieces more. If he plays, I do not trust him, and Jalen Johnson’s matchup gets harder.
  • Jarrett Allen and Peyton Watson (CLE): Both questionable. A thinner Cleveland frontcourt helps Philadelphia’s bigs and wings.
  • Moussa Diabate and Dennis Schroder (CHA): Both questionable, which would open work for the rest of Charlotte’s rotation.
  • Scottie Barnes (TOR): Questionable, with Kawhi Leonard out. His status decides how Toronto’s other players price out.

Payton Pritchard is also questionable for Boston. Lineups are not final for players who are not on the report, so I would not call anyone else healthy yet.

FAQ

Who are the best Fanteam value plays tonight?

Rudy Gobert (3.58), Kyshawn George (3.54), Malik Monk (3.43) and Donovan Clingan (3.40) lead our Fanteam value list. George and Alexandre Sarr both depend on how Anthony Davis’s status resolves.

Which expensive players should I avoid on Fanteam?

Derrick White, Trey Murphy III, Brandon Miller and Austin Reaves are badly priced tonight. Their projections do not justify the salary, so I would spend that money elsewhere.

Can I compare value numbers across sites?

No. Fanteam value sits around 3, Yahoo around 1, and DraftKings and FanDuel around 5 points per $1,000. Each scale only works inside its own site.

Check the lineups again before lock, especially for the questionable players above, because a late scratch can change which of these plays look best.
