Welcome to the grand finale, EuroLeague grinders! Grab a double espresso because Round 38 is here to close out the regular season, and the stakes could not be higher. There is one round and only 10 games to go, but absolutely nothing is locked in yet. With as many as eight games influencing the standings and a staggering 256 possible seeding combinations, motivation is the absolute key to unlocking this slate.
If a team has nothing to play for, we are going to see shenanigans and rest traps. To take down a FanTeam GPP, we are heavily targeting the alphas on teams fighting for their playoff lives and completely fading the squads already packing for Cancun.
The Motivation Matrix: What Are They Playing For?
Don’t forget to check our projections
The Battle for the #1 Seed: Olympiacos Piraeus and Valencia Basket are duking it out. Olympiacos controls its own destiny and secures first place with a win (or a Valencia loss).
The Home-Court Advantage Brawl: Four heavyweights—Real Madrid, Hapoel Tel Aviv, Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul, and Zalgiris Kaunas—are in an absolute dogfight for the two remaining places that guarantee home-court advantage in the playoffs.
The Guaranteed Playoff Bloodbath: Zalgiris Kaunas, Panathinaikos, and Crvena Zvezda are desperately hoping to grab the final playoff spot (6th place) to avoid the play-in tournament.
The Play-In Survival Bubble: AS Monaco, FC Barcelona, and Dubai Basketball are fighting for their postseason lives. Dubai is eliminated if they lose, and Barcelona can also face elimination if they lose and Dubai wins.
Critical Round 38 Injury News: Beware The Rest Traps
To avoid the resting traps and find the hidden usage, we have to start with the injury reports:
Maccabi Rapyd Tel Aviv: Keep a close eye on Iffe Lundberg. He was present for practice after dealing with an Achilles issue. If he is a full go, he is going to be incredibly important for our lineups.
The “Load Management” Teams: EA7 Emporio Armani Milan has completely thrown in the towel. Zach LeDay is officially out for “load management,” and Marko Guduric is out for personal reasons. AS Monaco is also holding out Nikola Mirotic, while Anadolu Efes will be without Shane Larkin and Vincent Poirier.
Virtus Bologna: Virtus will be missing serious firepower in the backcourt, as Matt Morgan has been ruled out with a severe right calf bruise.
Olympiacos Piraeus: Fighting for the #1 seed, Olympiacos will be without guard Monte Morris due to a back injury. However, both Frank Ntilikina and Evan Fournier have shaken off illnesses and are expected to suit up.
Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul: Nando de Colo is dealing with a calf injury and will be a game-time decision. If he sits, it funnels even more usage to our top guard options.
Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz: The wings are thinned out, as both Rodions Kurucs (illness) and Kobi Simmons (ankle) have been ruled out.
Elite Anchors: The Premium Spend-Ups
If you want to finish at the top of the leaderboards, you need players with massive ceilings whose teams actually care about winning today. Here are the top anchors the FanTeam algorithm loves:
Wade Baldwin IV (PG, FNB) – 12.3M Fenerbahce is in a dogfight to secure home-court advantage in the playoffs, and Baldwin is the undisputed king of this slate. He boasts the highest projection on the entire board at a massive 30.1 points. At 12.3M, he returns a very safe 2.4x value multiplier against ASVEL. He is our ultimate core play—lock him in and do not overthink it.
Chima Moneke (PF, CZV) – 12.4M Crvena Zvezda needs a win and some help to miraculously steal the 6th spot and a guaranteed playoff birth. That means Moneke is going to get heavy run. He is our secondary core play, projecting for a brilliant 29.6 points against Real Madrid. Costing 12.4M, he matches Baldwin with a 2.4x value multiplier.
Sasha Vezenkov (PF, OLY) – 14.2M If Olympiacos wins, they secure the #1 overall seed. You better believe their alpha is going to show up. Vezenkov is the most expensive player on the slate at 14.2M, but he earns it with a massive 28.5-point projection against a depleted Milan squad.

Top Value Gems & Salary Relief
To afford the massive ceilings of guys like Baldwin and Vezenkov, we need to dig into the bargain bin. The injury report and motivation factors have opened up some incredible budget plays:
Iffe Lundberg (SG, MAC) – 9.0M Lundberg is the absolute undisputed value king today! As mentioned, he was dealing with an Achilles issue but returned to practice. Assuming he is a full go, you simply cannot fade him. Priced at a ridiculous 9.0M, he projects for 27.7 points, giving you a slate-breaking 3.1x value multiplier.
Trey Lyles (PF, RMD) – 9.5M Real Madrid is battling to lock up home-court advantage in the playoffs, meaning they will be pushing their key rotation pieces. Lyles is drastically underpriced for his role today. Costing just 9.5M, he projects for a massive 25.7 points and a brilliant 2.7x value.
Carsen Edwards (PG, VIB) – 11.5M While not a bottom-barrel punt, Edwards is an elite mid-tier option today. Virtus Bologna will be without Matt Morgan due to a severe calf bruise, which funnels a massive amount of backcourt usage directly to Edwards. He projects for 27.7 points at 11.5M, returning a very safe 2.4x value.
Donta Hall (C, OLY) – 7.7M With Olympiacos highly motivated to secure the #1 overall seed, Hall is in a phenomenal spot against an EA7 Milan squad that has completely thrown in the towel and is resting guys. At just 7.7M, Hall projects for 21.2 points, returning a massive 2.8x value multiplier. He is the perfect salary relief at the center position.
Good luck tonight, stay glued to those starting lineups right up until lock, and let’s go crush this regular-season finale on FanTeam! 🏀💰
