The Friday Shootout on FanTeam on 30 October has seven games and a budget of 80 credits. Our EuroLeague DFS picks start with a simple question: where do the points come from, and what do they cost? Valencia and Dubai have the best ceilings among the stars. Olympiacos offers the best price-to-production ratio on the board.
Top EuroLeague DFS picks for the Friday Shootout
The top of the projections is crowded. Four players sit within about one point of each other at 29.8 to 27.9, and the salaries separate them more than the projections do.
| Player | Pos | Team | Opp | Salary | Proj | Ceiling | Value |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| T.J. Shorts | PG | Valencia | Barcelona | 15.3 | 29.8 | 37.7 | 1.9x |
| Mfiondu Kabengele | C | Dubai | Hapoel Tel Aviv | 14.7 | 29.8 | 35.2 | 2.0x |
| Elijah Bryant | SG | Hapoel Tel Aviv | Dubai | 14.9 | 28.9 | 34.4 | 1.9x |
| Codi Miller-McIntyre | PG | Olympiacos | Milan | 10.9 | 27.9 | 33.5 | 2.6x |
| Kendrick Nunn | SG | Panathinaikos | Efes | 13.8 | 27.6 | 33.1 | 2.0x |
| Dwayne Bacon | SF | Dubai | Hapoel Tel Aviv | 14.4 | 27.3 | 34.2 | 1.9x |
| Elie Okobo | SG | Dubai | Hapoel Tel Aviv | 11.8 | 27.1 | 33.8 | 2.3x |
| Sasha Vezenkov | PF | Olympiacos | Milan | 15.1 | 27.1 | 31.3 | 1.8x |
Shorts carries the highest ceiling on the slate at 37.7. Valencia are the underdog at 2.30 in Barcelona, but the game total of 183.5 is the highest of the night and Valencia’s team total is 90.5. That makes him a strong tournament pick even at 1.9x.
Dubai are the best team to stack. Kabengele, Bacon and Okobo all project between 27.1 and 29.8, and Dubai are favourites at 1.65 with a team total of 89.5. Okobo is the cheapest of the three at 11.8 and returns 2.3x, so he is the most efficient way into that offence. Bryant is the natural pairing from the other side: Hapoel Tel Aviv have a team total of 86.5, and he projects 28.9 with a 34.4 ceiling.
Miller-McIntyre is the standout. At 10.9 he projects 27.9, which is 2.6x, higher than any other player priced above 10. Olympiacos are 1.21 favourites with a team total of 89.5 against Milan’s 78.5. That points to a comfortable win and a lot of possessions for the guards.
Value plays
Cheap points decide the lineup on a slate with this many expensive options. Every player below clears 2.5x, the tournament threshold.
| Player | Pos | Team | Salary | Proj | Value |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Stefan Joksimovic | SF | Baskonia | 4.5 | 19.2 | 4.3x |
| Cory Joseph | SG | Olympiacos | 4.8 | 15.3 | 3.2x |
| Kevarrius Hayes | C | Partizan | 7.7 | 23.7 | 3.1x |
| Damion Baugh | PG | Baskonia | 8.7 | 25.4 | 2.9x |
| Neal Sako | C | Valencia | 6.7 | 19.2 | 2.9x |
| Codi Miller-McIntyre | PG | Olympiacos | 10.9 | 27.9 | 2.6x |
| Tyson Ward | SF | Olympiacos | 7.7 | 20.3 | 2.6x |
Joksimovic is the best value on the slate. At 4.5 he projects 19.2, a 4.3x return, and that frees real salary for the Dubai or Valencia stars. Baskonia are underdogs at 2.65 in ASVEL, but their team total of 85.5 is respectable. Baugh adds a second Baskonia option at 8.7 for 25.4.
Olympiacos supply three value plays in Miller-McIntyre, Joseph and Ward. Joseph is only 4.8 and projects 15.3, so he works as a pure salary saver. Hayes is the cheap big man to like: 23.7 points for 7.7, in a Zalgiris game where Partizan are 3.50 underdogs. Sako gives Valencia exposure at 6.7 if you want to pair a cheap piece with Shorts in the highest-total game.
Fades
These players are not bad. They are badly priced tonight, and the salary would be better spent elsewhere.
| Player | Team | Salary | Proj | Value |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Dzanan Musa | Dubai | 12.4 | 13.8 | 1.1x |
| Marcus Carr | Virtus | 13.7 | 22.6 | 1.6x |
| Carsen Edwards | Zalgiris | 13.5 | 22.1 | 1.6x |
| Scottie Wilbekin | Besiktas | 13.3 | 21.7 | 1.6x |
Musa is the clearest fade. He costs 12.4 and projects 13.8, a 1.1x return, even though Dubai have a strong offence. Okobo costs 0.6 less and projects 13.3 more. Carr, Edwards and Wilbekin all cost 13.3 or more and project under 23. Compare that with Miller-McIntyre at 10.9 for 27.9. Vezenkov is a softer fade at 1.8x: a fine projection, but you pay a premium for it when his teammate offers more per credit.
Games and pace
- Barcelona v Valencia (183.5): the highest total of the night with a tight spread of 1.72 to 2.30. It has the most scoring upside on the slate.
- ASVEL v Baskonia, Dubai v Hapoel Tel Aviv, Virtus v Besiktas (175.5 each): three games with identical totals. Dubai v Hapoel Tel Aviv is the pick of them, with team totals of 89.5 and 86.5.
- Olympiacos v Milan (167.5): a low total, but Olympiacos at 1.21 carry 89.5 of it. Milan’s 78.5 is the lowest team total on the slate.
- Zalgiris v Partizan (165.5) and Efes v Panathinaikos (164.5): the slowest games. Efes have a team total of 79.5, so look for value rather than stars here.
FAQ
Who are the best EuroLeague DFS picks for cash games?
Aim for 2.0x or better. Miller-McIntyre (2.6x), Okobo (2.3x), Kabengele (2.0x) and Nunn (2.0x) all qualify, along with the value plays above.
Which game should I stack?
Dubai v Hapoel Tel Aviv is the most reliable stack. Dubai are favourites at 1.65 with three players projecting 27.1 or more, and Bryant gives you a bring-back. Barcelona v Valencia offers the highest total for tournaments.
Which expensive players should I avoid?
Musa, Carr, Edwards and Wilbekin all return 1.6x or less. Their prices are too high for what we project.
